Superpower Mentors Welcomes Phoebe Holland as Director of Program Success

Educational therapist joins Superpower Mentors to lead the next evolution of the family and mentee experience.

Superpower Mentors is excited to welcome Phoebe Holland as Director of Program Success, strengthening the organization’s commitment to delivering an exceptional, individualized experience for every mentee and family it serves.

Phoebe brings direct experience supporting young people with learning differences and working closely with their families. As an educational therapist, she has spent her career understanding the full picture surrounding a young person’s development, including the academic, emotional, behavioral, and family dynamics that can influence progress.

That perspective is especially important at Superpower Mentors.

Mentorship is deeply personal. The strength of the relationship between a mentor and mentee can be transformative, but creating consistently strong outcomes also requires thoughtful communication with families, early identification of challenges, and systems that allow the organization to understand why certain mentorship relationships thrive.

In her role as Director of Program Success, Phoebe will lead the continued development of the family and mentee experience across Superpower Mentors. As Superpower Mentors continues to grow, Phoebe will help ensure that the organization remains both highly personal and increasingly measurable.

“Phoebe understands something that is fundamental to our work: every young person exists within a much larger ecosystem,” said Jake Sussman, Founder and Program Director of Superpower Mentors. “You cannot look at a student in isolation. You have to understand the family, the school experience, their confidence, their challenges, and the relationships surrounding them. Phoebe brings that understanding together with the judgment and operational discipline we need as we scale.”

Her appointment represents the continued investment Superpower Mentors is making in the infrastructure behind its mentorship model. The goal is not simply to create more mentor-mentee matches, but to better understand what makes mentorship successful, intervene earlier when relationships need support, and consistently deliver an experience that helps young people grow toward greater confidence and independence.

Phoebe’s combination of educational expertise, direct experience with families, and operational judgment uniquely positions her to build a more proactive and scalable Program Success experience while preserving the human relationships at the center of Superpower Mentors.

“I’m thrilled to join Superpower Mentors and contribute to a model that recognizes how powerful the right relationship can be in a young person’s life,” said Holland. “I’m especially excited to work alongside families and mentors to build systems of support that are thoughtful, individualized, and responsive to what each young person needs to move forward.”

Phoebe officially joined Superpower Mentors in September 2026. Her addition comes as Superpower Mentors is expanding its work with young people, families, schools, and organizations across the country, while investing in the people and systems necessary to deliver high-quality mentorship at scale.

Outside of Superpower Mentors, Phoebe brings just as much personality to the table. She is the youngest of six, recently got married, and lives in Fairfield County with her two French bulldogs and cat. A lifelong animal lover, Phoebe was also a competitive equestrian and competed throughout college. When she is not working with young people and families, she is usually reading, spending time with her animals, or enjoying time with friends.
